Looking for the following Article

I am searching the follwoing article:

Khro ru Tshe rnam (1994), "A khu bstan pa'i gtam rgyud rags tsam dpyad pa", in: Mi rigs, 1994-3, pp. 28-30.

The libraries I contacted so far do not have the concerned edition of Mi rigs. I came to know that there are two collections of Khro ru Tshe rnam's works:

• Khro ru tshe rnam gyi gsung rtsom thor bu phyogs bsgrigs. Lha sa: Bod ljongs mi dmangs dpe skrun khang, 2003. See Tbrc (W30024)
• mKhan chen khro ru tshe rnam gyi gsung 'bum. [Lha sa: s.n.], [2004?], 11 vol. See Tbrc (W29701). Though vol. 8 (gSung thor bu'i skor) includes the part Khro ru tshe rnam rin po che'i gsung rtsom thor bu'i rigs phyogs gcig tu bsdus pa the corresponding outline (O01SVV1) does not list the title I am looking for.

Does anyone have the Mi rigs edition or the collection of Khro ru Tshe rnam's works from 2003?

A Chinese Communist Perspective on the Emergence of A khu bsTan pa

A couple of days ago I borrowed the collection of A khu bsTan pa stories with the title A khu bstan pa'i gtam rgyud from our library. When I started to read the introductory chapter, "A Wonderful Flower of Tibetan Folk Literature" (bod rigs dmangs khrod kyi rtsom rig gi me tog ngo mtshar ba zhig), I was more than surprised by how the figure A khu bsTan pa and his emergence are presented there. The editors of the book portray A khu bsTan pa as a communist hero used by the Tibetan laboring masses as a means in their struggle against the fierce ruling class of the old Tibetan society. This really weird interpretation shows that nothing is safe from being abused by Chinese communist propaganda, not even the Tibetan folk tale hero A khu bsTan pa. First I wasn't sure what to do with this introductory chapter, but eventually I put together the main points from that chapter sticking very close in my translation to the Tibetan original. In these troubled times it might seems strange to put a Chinese communist perspective on the emergece of A khu bsTan pa on this Blog, but I thought it's important to take note of this kind of distorted interpretation.

On the Historicity of the Tibetan folk tale hero A khu sTon pa

As a supplement to the post "Tibet's Nasreddin? Touching on Uncle Tompa's Elusive Historicity" on Dan's Tibeto-Logic Blog from November 04, 2007, I like to give here a rough translation of the article "Initial considerations on the appearance of A khu sTon pa" (a khu ston pa'i byung bar thog ma'i bsam gzhigs) by the 'Bri gung bKa' brgyud scholar Ra se dKon mchog rgya mtsho (b. 1968). In this article he draws a connection between the folk tale hero A khu sTon pa and a religious person living in the 13th century with the same name by means of some textual sources found in the Collected Works of 'Bri gung sPyan snga Grags pa 'byung gnas (1175-1255).

A khu sTon pa Bibliography

The telling of A khu sTon pa tales is actually an oral tradition. However in the last 30 years some tales have been written down in Tibetan and published in form of a few compilations. Moreover have some tales appeared in English translation and some have been published as Comics in Tibetan and English. For all of You who don't have the chance to listen to the telling of A khu sTon pa tales, I have put together a small bibliography on A khu sTon pa. Hopefully You can find some of these works and enjoy entering the world of A khu sTon pa. Introduction

Over the course of time I like to create an oral archive of A khu sTon pa tales told by Tibetans in Tibetan. It will be possible to hear the tales as an online stream or download them. Moreover I like to put together different material related to A khu sTon pa: (1) a bibliography on A khu sTon pa, (2) translations of material related to A khu ston pa and (3) tranlsation of A khu sTon pa tales.
